For the past decade, Anthony has worked in the field of education through various roles. Most recently, Anthony served as the principal of Eastmont School in Bend. He holds a Master’s in Teaching and a Bachelor’s of Science in Natural Resources. In his free time, he loves to mountain bike, make kombucha, and go camping with his family. Anthony and his wife, Heather, are the proud parents to 5 amazing kids, 3 of which are at OFS this year!
Zoe graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Practice of Art from UC Berkeley and earned a Masters Degree in Education from UC Santa Barbara. In addition to being a teacher, she has also worked as a scenic painter, a portrait artist, and art instructor. After graduating from college, Zoe has recently moved back to Bend and enjoys hiking in her spare time.
Jill has been in education for 17 years in a variety of roles. Most recently she was the 3rd grade teacher, Assessment Coordinator, and Outdoor Learning Specialist at Eastmont School in Bend. She has a Master's Degree in Teaching from George Fox University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology/Archaeology from University of Maryland. Prior to teaching, she spent 13 years with the Forest Service as an archaeologist. In her free time, she loves to run sled dogs, brush goats, ride her bike, rescue animals, watch Star Wars, and hang out with her 2 sons and husband, Mike, on their farm.
Kerry Hinton-Graham has been educating students since 1991, including home educating her own four children. She studied at Pepperdine and Cal Lutheran University, receiving her Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She has also worked as a counselor for children, teens, and families in the Central Oregon area.
Luke grew up in Philadelphia before landing in Oregon, where he received his B.A. from Reed College in 2002. After a year studying Greek and Latin at the University of Pennsylvania, he completed his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Emory University in 2013. A recent transplant to Bend and new to the homeschooling community, he has fallen in love with teaching the young minds of Oregon Family School.
Jody graduated with a bachelor's degree in education from Western Oregon University. She also completed all except for a practicum for a master's degree in literacy education also at Western Oregon University, and she has a master's degree in English from Ohio University. Jody considers Bend her hometown having lived here since middle school. She moved away for college and for a two year experience in Washington, D.C. where she taught English and academic literacy. When she's not working, Jody enjoys traveling and spending time with her children and her little Schnauzer, Roscoe. This is Jody's 3rd year teaching in the homeschool community. She absolutely loves working with the students and families at Oregon Family School.
Sarah Guilfoy has been a teacher for nearly ten years. She graduated with a Psychology Degree, and a Credential in Multiple Subjects with a focus on teaching English Language Learners.
Sarah’s primary experience has been working with lower grades. She loves teaching all the subjects, and getting kids excited to learn!
In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, hiking, running, and enjoying all Bend has to offer.
Ms. Lacie graduated from Redmond High School in 2002. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Social Science from University of Oregon and her Masters Degree from Grand Canyon University in Elementary Education. She like to ride horses, travel, and go camping with her husband and 3 kids.
Over the last 20 years, Amy has taught in many different capacities from early childhood to middle school. She spent 10 years as a Kindermusik educator, coaching young families on the educational benefits of music and movement. She also served as a curriculum developer for Kindermusik International and co-authored a book as a result. After earning both a B.A. in Communication Arts and a M.A. in teaching from George Fox, she taught for both private and public schools in Central Oregon. She helped pioneer and design the middle school program at Seven Peaks. Also a fellow homeschool parent, she understands the unique rewards and challenges of homeschooling.
Hollie has over 8 years teaching experience with children ranging from preschool to 6th grade. She has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. Hollie enjoys identifying the strengths of her students and providing instruction based on their individual learning styles.
Stephanie Molletta graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Shorter University in Rome, GA, and later went on to receive her Education degree from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. Stephanie believes a positive classroom atmosphere is the most important ground work for learning and development. After working in the school system and then later homeschooling her own kids, she believes Oregon Family School is a perfect fit for her and she's excited for the opportunity to be teaching here.
Jennifer Breedlove has been educating children for 18 years. She has held various teaching roles including public school, homeschool, private school, and tutoring students with learning differences. She enjoys empowering and supporting homeschool parents in their choice to educate their children at home.
Chris Talcott went to college in the Midwest where he received a B.A. in Youth Ministries. Since graduating, he's been involved in youth programs, camp programs, and wilderness guiding. He spends his free time running, climbing, or exploring anywhere far, high, or new. You'll likely find him spending time outside with his wife and young son.
Shelly Jenkins has been a teacher for 21 years. She received her B.A. Degree and Teaching Credential from California State University Fresno. She has taught Kindergarten through 8th grade students in California, Washington and Oregon. She really enjoys hanging out with her family in the outdoors (kayaking, skiing, camping) whenever she has a chance!
Robin Smith-Jackson received her Masters in Teaching from Gonzaga University in 2003, with a specialty in Music K-12. Passionate about home-schooling, Robin has home-schooled her own kiddos and has offered classes and lessons to the homeschool community in Central Oregon since 2005. Robin is certified by the Suzuki Association of the Americas in classical guitar teaching, and has many private students studying this beautiful instrument. As part of the Oregon Family School community, Robin has helped with special projects, provided guitar classes, choir classes and continues to teach music classes and help high schoolers earn credit for their music activities on and off campus.
Physical Education Instructor
Michelle O'Connell graduated from the College of Idaho with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology, minoring in Education and Coaching. Having recently moved to Oregon, Michelle is beginning her 12th year of teaching Physical Education and Health. She has a passion for getting kids excited about movement! In her free time you will find Michelle exploring with her family and coaching or playing volleyball.
